Hello friends!
I bought my first Honda Recon 250 this Friday. Only problem is... the foot shifter is too long (I am only 5' tall) for my foot. Is there any way that my husband can modify this without compromising the bike?

Three options:

1. You could cut & reweld the original toe shifter, this would not be expensive.
2. You could check to see if the TRX90 shifter will fit on the Recon. It is shorter, also not an expensive option.
3. Purchase an after market electric shift kit, but they are pricey.

There is a way to make it work

API makes an adapter that attaches to the shifter and it is more like a hand shifter.

Never had expereience with it but it looks like it'd work.
