My 300ex got up to about 56 or 57 when it was stock.

 

I can run 57-58 pretty consistantly.

Highest Top Speed recorded for me was 64mph, must have had the wind to my back.

To find out which bike is faster why not just run them side by side?

 

we dont have a place to. There is one place that is covered with whoops that will test driver's skill and i think i will beat him no problem ont he whoops. we want to tell which is faster. Hopefully a section will be cleard of whoops.

 

Jay, i wouldnt go that far....but we'll just have to race to see....thirdly the 250ex, stock, is way faster then 47MPH, my dad has a 450ES that goes that fast and i know for a fact that it goes at least 50MPH and with my pipe it probably like 53MPH atleast but me and jay will find out when i race him.....one thing i do know is that mine has alot more power you can tell just by going in first on both quads, at leasts that what i htink and feel, I still have to get a quad that will beat jeremys huge *** warrior, its nasty!

 

I'm not sure its worth the money to modify a 250ex -- with a 229cc engine, it's never going to keep up with the real sport quads. Even a 300ex needs some major mods to have a chance against the bigger ones. If you want speed, get a real sport quad that's not shaft-driven and has a real clutch. Iam sorry slone u will never get a quad that will be faster then mine!!!!! sorry! cause i can just keep adding and adding the buying some more and then get a new quad and start addding and adding and buying.

 

I ran my stone stock 2001 250ex against my buddies stock 2002 300ex and he dusted me on a asfault back road. He weights about 20 lbs. less then me but we raced 3 or 4 times and even when i got the holeshot the 300ex still has way more top end then the 250ex. I would bet money the 300 ex will spank the 250ex. . .the 250 is mainly an extreme beginner or for a young teenager mainly. . .the 300 ex is small in size but it is really made for any older kid or adult. . .if you were talking about the 250X. .then it would be closer. . .but I would even guarantee the 250X to beat the 250ex. . .sorry to whoever has the 250ex. . but thats my take on it. . .

 

I have mods though that make a huge difference...so two stockers are completely different...make sure you read the whole subscription before you reply...

the thread was whats faster 250ex or 300ex ! so thats why I replied. The fact is the big gun exhaust will give you 10-15 percent more hp which translates to alot more noise but only 1 to1.5 more hp over stock (11.8hp)THe k-n filter gives another 5-10 percent so thats another.5 to 1 hp so now your at 13-14hp max! the bearclaws will give a little more top end speed because they are about 1 in. taller,but you will lose a little off the start. the 300ex has 14hp stock so your about even at hp ratings but your still putting it threw a autoclutch and a driveshaft and a ring and pinion which robs more hp then a chain drive.
