Default gear saver?

i got an 86 250r with a few mods (pipe, filter, rad valve). i`m in the process of rebuilding the top end right now and i`m not sure what to use for the motor oil. i know it did have Belray gear saver in it, but i can`t find a place close that has it. i`m just wondering are you supposed to use something besides regular motor oil for these high performance 2- strokes. what do ya`ll recommend?

I have used automatic transmission fluid since 87 never had a problem and still have the stock clutches in it.

Everybody seems to have a different opinion on 2 stroke tranny oil. They all seem to work fine - don't sweat it. Most likely Honda recommends something like 30 or 40 wt motor oil without friction modifiiers (ie. don't use an oil labeled as Energy Conserving").
