Fellow Honda owners,

Can anyone tell me if the cable adjusting screw and lock washer for the rear brake lever on a '92 TRX300 2WD is common to other models. The local Honda dealer wants six bucks for just the adjusting screw. (The lock washer was not in stock.)

I've got a catalog at home where I can order these for a fraction of that price but wanted to check to make sure that wasn't something unique about this part.

Yes, I know I have to add shipping, but that will be lessened by adding an oil filter or two (also at a much better price) to the order.

Not really sure what it looks like but it seems to me that you could find something that would work for little or nothing. It is got to metric in size. If you have another one on the bike somewhere, try and see if it works, then go to a hardware store etc. to see if you can match something up. Maybe an old motorcycle somewhere with one. $6.00 is too much for me. Hope it helps. Mark in N.C.
