I would probably go with a 416 setup if I was to bore-up.

87mm piston + rings
take my cylinder to a machine shop and have it bored to 416
honda gasket
rejet

Also I'm a complete dumbass when it comes to dismantling engines, would it be a complicated job to dissasemble my motor to bring it to the machine shop. Any thing I should know, I have almost no mechanical experience (yea, i admit it).

Both of these things will work and give you some more power i would also recommend a pipe and rejetting if you are going to do this.

 

Dude, you only get 2 screaming horses from a complete exhaust.

 

Most exhaust systems for the 400EX produce 2-5 horsepower. It doesn't sound like a lot, but on a machine that produces 27 horsepower in stock form, that is about a 10% gain. Sounds better when it's put that way, doesn't it.

 

Remember the pipe shootout? The White Bros pro meg is the best exhaust for the 400ex and it produces 2 more screaming horses at peak power level. Is there a new pipe out that can prove a 5 horse gain?

There are plenty of pipes that give a 400EX +5 ponies. However those horses are in the midrange and not peak.
