Well winter looks to be gone, I was giving my Rubicon a good cleaning today. Anyone notice the open frame rail tubes in the back, on each side of the tool kit access? They run down to the bottom of the frame, looks like it may cause alot of future rust probs. Has anyone closed these up?

The only winter damage I found is one tore axle boot on the front left side.. Are there boots easy to replace? This is the one in the axle side, not the wheel.Thanks

 

Closing them won't allow them to air out and dry if any water or condensation gets in there - which would be worse. Probably better to leave them open.

 

Those frame tubes all have drains in them.
