I've heard that electric shift has a delayed shift of 2 or 3 seconds is this true?

My rancher shifts into gears almost immediately without delay.

Greetings,

Because I pull a mower or do chain saw work with my 450ES, I sometimes ride with hearing protection -- big sound-deadening headphones (some with music included, but that's another story). Anyway, with the headphones on, you can hear a distinct "beep" each time you hit the shift button. One could conclude that this is from the shift button making contact. And the point is that the shift happens instantly in conjunction with the beep.

No delay with my Rancher. When shifting gears it happens very quickly.

The ESP is a later version than the one that came out on the 450. They tweaked it a little (improved).

Greetings,

Dirtyhowies, don't dispair. Yours probably beeps too. You just have to put on some noise reduction head gear to pick it up. Why not try it and get back to us.
