If the fronts are hydralic like I think they are then you can't adjust the them. But u can adjus the rears by turning those 2 wingnuts on the rear drum.

I don't think that they are ignoring you as i think people are wondering why you have not looked in your owners manual. But if it's the same as a 450es you have two red rubber gromets on your drum. pull that out you will have two ajustment cogson each wheel. Ture them in the direction of the arrow till they bottom out and back them off two clicks. that should solve your promblem. I have found it is water and mud that is causing you no or little brakes, in which you have to take the drums off and clean them. NOTE if you do that scrap off as much grease off the backing plate before you rince off the pads with just water. Let them dry over night regrease with water proof grease that very important. Also silicone the rubber groment and the two bolts that hold the drum on. Hope that help if not email me.

the last post is correct. I had a Recon befor I got my FOREMANes. Just stand the bike on end (front wheels in the air and take the red plug out of each (on the drum) Then turn them twards the outside of the hub till tight then back them off 2-3 clicks. After you adjust squeze the brake lever hard 4-5 times then test them. As stated befor it is probably mud and water. You should take the hub off and inspect at the same time (its reel easy) Just remeber to take the hub off you have to back the front brakes off by loosing the adjuster on the brakes ( behind the red plug) if any more help is needed let me know.

On my Recon I have found that if you use an elastic tie down or rope to hold the front brake lever back while you are not riding the hydraulic brakes will work better. I do not think this will hurt anything because I have been doing it for over a year

98recon I keep reading over your post and i cannot see how tieing back you brake lever when you not riding it will do anything to make your brakes work better.

How does tieing your lever back help? All that does is keep it from rolling.

All I know is that my brakes work now, and I did not adjust them. Before I started tying the lever back I adjusted them several times and it only worked for a week. Just tie them back over night and see how they work in the morning. This seems to work for me.
