im looking at getting a pair of works shocks for the front. is it worth getting the ones with the remote reservoir or is it just as good to get the regular shock

 

It depends on how long, and how hard you ride. The remote reservoir just keeps the shock oil cool, to keep them from fading. I could see where it would make a difference if you ride aggressively for extended periods of time. If you just trail ride, get them without, and if you're not happy with the performance, you can add them later for about $160. I had Works AT Steelers (no rezzies) on my EX, and they were 100% better than the stock shocks.
