The TRUE facts about the 400EX and the BANSHEE!

Snowshark,
I did this on my dads 450es. Meaning, I took out all the slack on the throttle adjustment but then retightened the locknut. There was a definate improvement. Before doing this, there was a slight delay in response. After the adjustment, no more delay, top end was increased by 2mph and if I try REALLY hard now, I can even do a wheelie in 2nd gear. I don't know about completely removing the nut though. But I will check into it now.

I have a few words to say. I have a stock blaster and there is know reason to spend that much more money on a banshee, it may have a little more speed but on the trails at my house there is this 20 year old or more guy that has a banshee and I am right on his tail on the trails, I could pass him but not enough room and I don't want to take a chance of getting hurt. All I have to say is a banshee is not all that.

hey Gabe, jumping the 400ex vs jumping the Banshee. I will compare for you. If I was on a Banshee, I could probably jump over a 400ex. If I was on my 400ex, I could clear at least 8 Banshees lined up side by side. Is that what you mean't or is it how many of each bike you can clear with any bike. Their dimensions are rather similar. lol.

It all gos back to a dirtwheelsn issue that someone(a yamy owner) complained about the hype the 400ex was getting. They stated that on a track or trail the 400 would take it but for hill shooting in the sand the banshee with its future-missing two stroke will take it. One day the epa will ban 2-strokes. For the throttle issue it will work on any bike.Just check for rpm increase when handlebars are turned. I did this to my 400ex as well as 2 200sx's.
