Default Rincon: Long Nosed or Not?

I got my first look at a RIncon the other the day. It was the first one in our area and it was sold before it arrived. At first look, compared to its look in the media it seemed rather long in the front, almost stuck out. Is a bumper or guard necessary to protect this? Anyone find it hits?

i think it is fine. the angle actually seems to allow a better approach on many types of terrain.
