Why is Honda the best on earth?

I figure Honda makes enough money on Accord sales alone to do whatever they want. Their engines speak for themselves though. Take for instance their generators. Can you beat that?

I just sold my 83 200X 3-wheeler.... I still have my 1st dirtbike I got when I was eight, a Honda MR50, and we still ride it sometimes
others may be bigger, others may be badder.... but at the end of the day, I'm the happiest, because I'm still riding, not cussing

I used to think Honda was the best, until they developed a big yellow streak down their back... What I mean is they would never produce an ATV to compete with the LT500 that suzuki made back in the late 80's...
Don't get me wrong... I love my 250R, but can only imagine in my wildest dreams what a 500R would have been like
Then what sealed the deal for me was the statement made not too long ago that they would never produce another 2 stroke engine... I mean, with the R&D capabilities they have and very deep pockets, why not develop the technology and make them clean burning, environmentally friendly, and way POWERFUL!!! They could have revolutionized the industry once again...
Oh well....

I would have to agree Honda is the best on earth.
I have an old one and that thing is still going and it's been beat to h*ll.
Now if they would only put out a new sport quad I would be happy.

I think you meant 1998 and I do have a 98 model TRX300 4x4 and while it is slow it gets me there and will work all day on one tank of fuel pulling a bushhog around.
The year they finally stopped the TRX300 legend was 2000.

Best is a broad term. Maybe most reliable quad. Of course it's easier to be reliable when you detune your engines and stick with simple technologies, drum brakes, non-adjustable shocks, etc, etc, etc...
Personally I'll take fastest or most fun or almost anything else over a LITTLE bit of extra reliability.

I have never owned a piece of Honda equipment that let me down...plain and simple! They are rarely the fastest and they tend to stick with proven technology but they are all about a refined power plant that won't spin itself apart. I have a Honda civic and it is built the same way. No frills at all but the car is executed extremely well. Honda has always had the KISS method and it works for them. Style and power are great but you can have it when you break down 20miles from nowhere haha.

My Honda Civic has a couple frills. (power windows, cruise, power doorlocks, moonroof, CD)
When I was buying my Recon or even the Civic. I bought them because I wanted reliable products. Although I am capable of working on machines, I'd rather not. ( I also hate putting extra money into a machine to fix it after you've just paid so much to buy it.) I wanted machines that would last for years with nothing more to do than rotate the tires and change the oil. I've sold "American" cars with 80,000 miles on them because I didn't trust them. But I'd travel hundreds of miles from my home in my Toyota truck with 155000 miles on it because I trusted it to not let me down. For me the difference between Honda atv's and others are the same idea. I trust the Honda to go the distance more than I trust other atv's. Which would you trust more? The Suzuki Aerio or the Honda Civic?
