Why is Honda the best on earth?
I bought my 300ex because I wanted somthing easier to maintain than my Polaris 250 2 stroke. But.. My 300ex so far has been the biggest piece of junk I've ever had, I get left stranded all the time. First time it blew the valve dropped and smashed the head bent the rod and shattered the piston ($500) for that. Now... I was out riding just after about 100 hrs on my rebuild from the broken valve, the Rod broke in half and came through the side of the case, broke the piston skirt off and part of the Sleeve.
I have had terrible luck with this thing, so far my favorite brand is Polaris they are really good about helping you fix problems. I have never had a Problem with my Polaris I am really appreciating it after my 300ex stuff. My Mojave has been excellent I love that thing so far I have only had a loose bolt it's been trouble free 100%. Yes, I maintain my things perfect so don't blame me on my Honda being junk just because you want to keep the reputation.

mojave300ex,
I guess if I had your problems with the 300ex I would have a bad taste in my mouth too.
Ours, except for a binding front shock was great up untill I traded her off.
Our 300EX was a good woods/trail machine.

The year they finally stopped the TRX300 legend was 2000.

Andy Bassham,
Sorry about that. I see your meaning now after I reread it.
My first ride on a Honda quad was a 1986 250 with the odd front suspension. Our business partner still has the old 250 and it still runs.

Sure they do coming from a Honda owner.
I have so many miles on my Trail Boss it's crazy, I bought it new and come home from school every day and ride it hard. Now it's on the second set of rings since '92 when we bought it and so far I have burnt a belt and had a few loose fastners here and there, THAT'S IT. It never leaves me stranded unlike my HONDA. I think the best honda's were the late 60's early 70's minis. Like the Z50, CT70, CT90 they were extremely reliable, my origional '69 Mini Trail Z50 still runs great today. The only good honda's were the older ones (think about it)
