Why is Honda the best on earth?

hondas are the best. they will get you to the finish the quickiest. the guys on hondas that dont come in first, its their fault. not the machines. if there were robots thats would be the best riders it would be the honda crossing the finish first. when do you reach 70 on an MC track anyway. torche is what you need, torche is wat they give.

my honda dealer treats me good. I get parts at cost so yeah, thought id just rub that in. As far as DS reliability goes. We had a 01 DS with a stage 2 woods kit on it. Had 2 hours of ride time and the motor came apart. It was bombardier's fault, and they admitted to it. They forgot to shim the crank so it wobbled itself into a grenade. They took responsibility and paid for half (of the 1500 dollar bill that was their fault to begin with). So, i just got a lemon. DS's are good bikes tho.

i dont think it matters who is better, whether its honda, yamaha, suzuki etc if your happy with the atv you own then . i have a 250ex and people slate them all the time saying that there to slow, there should be a clutch etc, but im not going to change it because im very happy with it and it does exactley what i want it to do, so if we are happy with what we have, then who cares what everyone else thinks. sorry if i have offended anyone but come on guys, cant we talk civil about what we have instead of going into one, any atv is better than no atv right?

I have NEVER had any problems with my honda foreman 400 4x4, and it has TONS of torque. It also has decent acceleration too, but top speed is around 50mph, but im not to concerned about that.

Ahhh?? I will assume u were doing a substantial amount of drugs when u posted that. I don't think my body could physically handle the amount of drugs I would need to take to say something half that stupid!!!

I don't understand why everyone thinks Honda is so far behind in technology. They are not behind, they just choose what they want to use in their ATVs. They must be dependable, cost competative, and weigh under 600 pounds, and be user friendly.
Take a look at the new Honda Valkyrie Rune motorcycle. 1800cc horizontally opposed 6 cylinder engine with 6 throttle-body fuel injectores. There is one throttle-body with its own injector mounted to the intake runner of every cylinder. Honda also builds a Personal Water Craft with an in-line, DOHC 1235cc fuel injected 4 cylinder with an intercooled turbocharger rated at 165 hp. How easy do you think it would be for Honda to fuel-inject a single cylinder ATV? That is childs play for Honda. They can but choose not to.
Did you also know that Honda builds the only robot in the world that can walk up a flight of stairs on its own? A quote from Honda's web site about Asimo, "ASIMO is designed to operate in our world, where we need to reach for things, pick things up and navigate along floors, sidewalks - even climb stairs. That's why ASIMO has two arms and two legs and is what is called a humanoid robot. In fact, ASIMO is the world's only humanoid robot that can walk independently and climb stairs. This is important, because in a world full of high curbs, uneven surfaces, obstacles and stairways, this ability is absolutely necessary for ASIMO to be able to easily function and truly assist humans." Maybe Honda should built an "Asimo" ATV that just has a seat and takes you where you want to go. Does Honda have any technology? A little.
Honda had borrowed design engineers from the NSX to design the looks of the Rincon. The NSX has some technology in it too. Maybe Honda should build an ATV that's engine has aluminum alloy with fiber-reinforced metal (FRM) cylinder liners (maybe for now the nickel-silicone-carbide lined cylinder like the Rincon is enough for now), with PGM-FI and a Variable Volume Induction System (VVIS) that produces one horse power per 10 cc and redlines around 8000 rpm and still retain its Low Emissions Vehicle (LEV) certification. Honda also builds the lowest emmission ATVs. What kind of ATV could Honda build if they pooled all their engineers? Could anyone keep up with it? Could you afford one?
Lockers have been around since the 50's. CVT style cluthes have been around since the 1800s. Now thats technology. Disc brakes are as old as dirt (however, not as old as drums). How many ATVs have a hydrostatic transmission with a computer controlled servo-motor controlling it's output?
Its just my opinion, but I believe Honda has more technology available than all the other ATV manufactures combined, and then doubled. They all add new "features and bennifits" that make them better in different areas, they are all improving their dependability, but how many manufactures actually come out with "new" technology.
I think Bombardier is the only other manufacture that introduces new designs and technology, like the 400 Outlander.
Quoted from a Magazine article about the Rubicon, "Its revolutionary transmission, excellent ergonomics, big cc engine and Honda's proven ability to build high quality dependable machines add up to a very desirable utility machine . The transmission alone is enough to proclaim it "Best new ATV model" while everything else is just icing on the cake."
This alone does not make this the "best" ATV, just another example of good use of "technology" and Honda quality. I think as long as Honda produces the number one selling ATVs, they feel everyone else is trying to catch up to them.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Specta, I couldnt of said it better myself. Some guy said he thought his polaris sp700 had a lot more technology and innovations than the honda ATV's, and then i posted back talking about the hydromechanical transmission and he must of thought twice because he didnt argue back. Whats so innovative about a cvt and a 4wd system that doesent even engage until your back wheels have already dug a hole so deep you cant get out of it. Oh wow, they have a little engine breaking now...now thats technology. I guess its all in what you want. Ill keep my foreman and keep shifting gears rather than replacing belts though.

I will have to agree that Hondas are junk. A buddy of mine had a mid 80's XL 600 dual sport that blew up with only 70,000 miles on it!What a pile of junk. First it started smoking really bad at about 69,000 miles. He got tried of putting oil in the thing so he started the bike, and wired the trottle wide open. After about 10 minutes the bike stoped smoking. It kept running for another 10 minutes, but was knocking really hard. Then it just locked up. He was laughing his a$$ off. If that was my bike I would have been mad it blew up with only 70,000 miles on it. Hondas are junk. I better get back to school, later peps
