Rubicon Delivery Date!

Manufacturers have blown quad prices out the roof in the past years. Just think, is it practical to pay $7000 for any atv? Hell no. $5500 is hell of a lot to begin with. Just think of how nice of a used truck you can get for that much cash. Here is an example. In 1989, we paid $3000 for a brand new 2wd honda 300. Right now, they retail for like $4400. Same quad. I mean, the only thing other than plastic or racks that has changed between this model and mine is that the new ones have double wishbone front ends compared to my Macpherson stut front end on my 89. I actually prefer the Macpherson strut type better. I understand inflation and all, but good lord.
I really think that there is a limit to what you should do with a quad. We hear rumors of 700cc quads in the future, but thats getting a bit big if you ask me. I would have to say overkill on this issue. As for prices, I think that manufacturers should shoot for about a $6000-6500 maximum for their flagship model, and then price the smaller quads accordingly to where they have a decent range between different models that sets them apart.
Basically, last year you could get a foreman 450 for like a couple hundred more than a foreman 400. Why even bother making the 400. Keep about a $600 difference between models, and you can still sell a good number of quads in each price range.

Well fellas,my wife told me to sell her 97' Recon and she would ride my Rancher ES 4x4 and i would order a new Rubicon.I could not bring myself to spend Seven Grand on a Quad,so i put the Recon in the local paper and sold it the very next day for three Grand and went and bought her a New Rancher ES 2x4.She really likes the way because it rides and the floorboards keep the mud off her boots. It also is very easy to steer and almost turns as sharp as the Recon did.She really likes the extra power and the electric shift and the cool LCD readout.I paid $4500 out the door including delivery for the Rancher ES 2x4.This was the best price i could find and the only rancher i could find, they are very hard to find in my area. The dealer told me that he had deposits for TEN Rancher ES's 4x4's.And they are slow arriving.
