I just checked the "RM" site and they raised their price for the CMP mount from 59.99 to 74.99. Did everyone get that much of a % increase in their wages? (25% increase) Alot of people are lucky to get a 2 to 4% increase in their wages a year.

Ok, BigRed (and others), I've posted my pics if you wanna take a look. They're not the best quality as my digital camera is quite dated, but you should get a good idea of what my setup looks like. If you need better pictues just let me know.

I like my winch mounted high like this particularly when crossing creeks or other water holes that turn out to be deeper than I expect them to be. Just last saturday I got stuck in a quicksand-like creek bottom and had water up to my fenders but my winch never got wet.
Speaking of winches, Farm & Fleet has their 2000lb Superwinch on sale for $159.99, regularly $179.99. I would definitely go with the 2000lb over the 1500lb, especially since it's only about $30 more.
Let me know what you think.

Jerms, That would be better for higher water. My winch is mounted just above the wheels behind the grill.

Yeah, before I found that OxLite bumper I had already bought a mount like the one you're talking about but I hadn't installed it yet. I didn't like the idea of it being confined underneath the fender where the mud and other crud accumulates, besides the fact it would be submerged sooner when traversing creeks. Plus, it looks tough mounted the way I have it.
