Yes,

The TRX 250, 250sx, and the 250es (Big Red) had identical motors. All parts are interchangeable.

What Brad said is accurate, but none of the machines he's talking about have 4 valve heads. Are you trying to put a 250X or TRX350 head on a 250SX or what? I don't think that would work but I haven't tried it.

hellow i have 4 honda 250sx i have put a pro-x piston in one ithink that was the name of it but still dont have enough *****
so i ran across a couple of wiseco trx250x piston 87-92 and both of them have the dentation on the piston for 4 vaulve

but i still think i would not be happy so what do you think about trx 300 moter will it fit if you find one with the bolt in the front that mounts it to the frame

heehaw,

You are giving out alot of confusing facts here. If I got this straight, I think you are asking if the TRX300 [utility quad] engine will bolt into the 250SX frame right? Well, it will, but the rear drive shaft on the SX will not work with the 300's output.

The 4 valve engine parts will not work on the 250SX at all. The models that Brad L listed along with the TRX300 [Not EX] will interchange regarding top end parts, except for the piston. The cylinder is also the same but the piston pins location is different due to the stroke of the 300.
