On the weekend i landed wrong of a jump and got the bars jerked out of my hand. I went to the hospital and they said i broke my scaphoid . I could be down for 3 weeks to 6 months. Man this sucks[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

Any info from people who have broken it before would be appreciated?

 

where is the scaphoid located. maybe write in dummy terms.

 

It's one of the bones right by your thumb.

I'm thinkin it's gunna be time for a steering dampener

 

hey thats where my hand hurts. i went off a cliff 8 weeks ago and bent my bars with my left hand. still can't bend my wrist up without it killing in my thumb and palm. but doc said no brake. but doc's suck.

 

On my first x-ray they didn't catch it but then they called me back. I guess if it's caught early is not that bad but it's bad if it's left over time.

i also broke my schaphoid but im down for 3 months!!

i broke it prez. day weekend and getting it off may15 cant wait!!

i brokeit on my left thumb.

it didnt stop me, i rode last week and beat two piped,jetted.filterd blasters nasty with my stock warrior

well.. the first week was bad then i got used to it. after a while i felt fine and i didnt feel it broken anymore. went to my appointment (at this time i had 6 weeks with the cast) and the doc was pushing his thumb real hard into it. . it did hurt but not a lot. it hurt like if i got hit in the hand with a stick. but it didnt really hurt. then the big doc came and told me i needed another cast for ANOTHER 6 weeks. the doctors where little b!tches that day. i told them where i was broken and they said nothing. then i said ok gimmy a cast but i want a blue one to match my quad. they started to laugh and said "NO". stupid doctors what do they know
