"its required that you run an intercooler...a turbo works similar to an after burner, running off the unused combustable air in your exhaust, and re-routing it back into the combustion chamber....if you didnt have an intercooler the exhaust that would normally pass through the intercooler would be wayyyyyyyy too hot. "

This is absolutely false. Like AZraptor said, a turbo compresses air sucked in through the air filter,
then routes it into the combustion chamber. (Instead of the engine/pistons having to SUCK in the air, it is FORCED in,
hence the term 'forced induction') The compressor (turbo) gets very hot, and the heat is passed into the compressed air.
The intercooler is there to cool down that air before it goes into your motor.

Now AZBigdaddy, Im calling your bluff.
The turbo itself @ 6psi makes 42 HP on the dino.
Thats a 15HP gain over stock.
Then, you bolt on the intercooler, and walla, 22 MORE HP? I dont think so.
Whats the deal here? Are you selling these kits?

your right, that number is off. sorry about that, you should get an aditional 10HP. I am going to have the guys who designed this system to give me a Q&A sheet. you make up more then that in HP, when you increase boost, the bottom line it is pretty sweet......

THis sounds cool and all but what are you going to do with it?...there are plenty of banshees without nitrous making over 100hp.....your 400's going to be real fast no doubt...but it seams like way to much $$ to be putting into an engine thats gonna be fast but extremely unreliable and last for a very short time...compared to stock...

This is a very reliable system and will keep about 90% origanal engine life.

The 400EX is finished, but they are working on systems for the Raptor, DS-650, 400, and the banchee. I will enjoy the ride until JUNE, then I might have to upgrade to another bike......Though I really like my honda 400ex. Turbos systems work off of original HP, so anyone who has a stroker/big bore kit on their bike will be insane with the turbo system too......I will post some cool pictures later this week....

I'm with Killer on this one, it makes no sense to go through all this trouble when a bunch of companies can build you a 100 HP bansee for about $3000, and it will probaby run longer too, unless you have money to burn and just want to do something cool.

Also, I don't know about turbos on quads, maybe for Glamis hillshooter but I don't think it would last long in any other off-road situation.
