Tires for honda 300
heres the deal i have purchased replacement tires for this ATV (97 trx300 2x4) in the past from the dealer. They replaced it with the stock size GOODYEAR tires. However this last time they didn't last long at all, i was pissed. I do not want to buy from them again, but i can't find the size any where, i was told that was a popular atv, but nobody makes tires for it. Somebody tell me where to find them online. Please

I'm sorry, Ponder, but I guess I didn't answer your question. According to the Clymer manual on a 1997 2x4 your front tires should be 23x8x11 and the rears are 25x11x9.
Now, if you want to stay with stock sizes and if you like the Dirt Devils you can buy them at http://www.cycledepot.net/STORE/prod...455&d_name=Gbc for a good price, but I can say what their shipping fees are. However, you can get stock-sized front tires for $36.96 each but for the rears you'll have to go an inch wider than stock (25x12x9) and they'll cost you $48.00 each. Not a bad deal for good tires, though. They're 6-ply so you won't have to worry much about punctures, they do well in most conditions yet they give a smooth ride. Personally, I think you could go an inch taller on the front and get a little more ground clearance if you like, but then you'd have to go an inch wider on those as well if you get the 'Devils. On my 4x4 the stock tire size for the front was 23x8x11 and the rears were 24x9x11. I went an inch taller both front and rear and also went to 10 inches wide both front and rear. For the front that is as wide as is possible because I only have about 1/4 inch clearance between the tires and the front shocks. I hope this helps you some.
