Hey MINDCRIME, do you ever come down to Sale Creek or Bakewell to ride? There's some great riding over there.

I think some of these rumors have been started from articles in the latest ATV Sport mag. I don't have it with me but I think it is where I read about the experimental 2 stroke from Honda.

As far as the 650ex 4 stroke, I think it would be a logical step given the DS650 and perhaps what Yamaha has in the works. This will be fun to watch. One thing for sure is we will have more sport offerings to argue about in the coming months.

Mindcrime, sounds like you have more recent information than I do, the article I read approx. 2 years ago (in Cycle World or Motorcyclist) was comparing the EXP-2 to a Japan only Honda Dual Sport motorcycle with a 250cc 2-stroke engine. The article never stated any horse power numbers, it just compared it the 250cc motorcycle. It was along time ago when I read the article. I will try to find it.

If you would like to look in the January 2000 issue of Dirt Wheels(page 12) in "Over The Bars" you will find a section about the 400R. Honda is also trying to make it CALIFORNIA LEGAL!!!! In my opinion this would be the ONLY OPTION Honda has if they truely want TOTAL DOMINATION. I have started a new savings account for this quad. Please God, I'll be REALLY GOOD!!!!!! Ps. One interesting tidbit, the XR650R motor HAS a counterbalancer. If you don't need one on a two wheeler then why does it have one? Answer, it is going into a QUAD.
