Default Could these numbers be correct? read on...

I have a friend that know a guy thats claiming 63 HP out of his 400ex. Some of you might remember when i first posted this topic a long time ago. Well I figured out what he has done to it ... 13:1 high comp piston, xr400 cam, K&N with no airbox, some porting (not full race of anything), full pro circuit pipe, STOCK BORE, CDI box and geared. Runs on high octane race gas. Could this claim of 63 HP out of it be right? I was thinking more around 45 or so. What do you guys think? He also said he could smoke me of my raptor, is this true?

63 is a ton for jsut a really high comp piston, mild cam, and porting and all the air you can get. I did more than that to my raptor and I doubt im over 55hp. He is pulling your chain.

Try 36 - 38 RWHP, I have a buddie with the same setup except its a 416, and he was dead even with my old 92 Quadracer. I used to be dead even with piped Raptors up till 1/4 mile then the Raptors would creep away. So it should be a good race.

Oh riznraptor he is not pulling my chain. I have never believed the guy. I also know for a fact he runs around 105 octane and does not have NOS. So far I can see Im not the only one who thinks he is full of ****.

I doubt it because there is a guy my best friend lives by and has a 440EX kit along with a turbo and he falls just short of 60hp

HaHa I think its he funny how big and bad he thinks his 400ex is(not starting anything, he is just very cocky). Id love it if he could read what you guys are saying. Thats what Im thinking now pleasure4qt after listening to the responses, 35-40HP. I wonder if he meant 63 HP at the crank but then again you wouldnt lose 25 HP from the motor to the rear wheels.
