Default Bought A 4-Stroke Trimmer

Well it was time for a new weed trimmer so I went to the local Lowe's looked around and decided on a Troy Bilt 4-Stroke setup. It was close to $300 but I must say it is well worth it. The torque is just insane compared to the little 2-Stroke TOROs and Huskys I've had before. With this 4-stroke you cut down the same stuff at half throttle that I had to hit wide open with the 2-strokes.

It' starts super easy however you must push the prime bulb 10 times instead of 3 on most 2 strokes. No big deal however. It also came with an attachment for cutting small brush. It works excellent I can cut down small 2" diameter stuff (wood of course) with this thing in a few seconds at only 3/4 throttle.

Overall I am very impressed with it. The only downfall is the vibration when at idle it shakes pretty bad but once you apply the throttle it smooths out.

I love not having to premix on this thing just gas-n-go

If anyone has been thinking about buying a 4-stroke like this go for it you won't be sorry.

I have a 4 stroke Ryobi, I love it. it is heavier, but not enough to keep me from using it. The gas lines wont rot off every winter, the carb wont foul up as often, my push mower wont have the wrong gas put in it by accident.... and the power is great. although startup power is less, like if its allready down in the weeds, but spin it up first and it wont quit. around 200 bucks and worth it. as a plus it sounds like a small airplane and the neighbors have to look twice.....

I have the Honda - not cheap at around $300, but worth it. Real quiet, doesn't buzz and shake as much as a 2 stroke, starts easy. Does great with a saw blade.

JohnO: I work in Lexington. What kind of atv do you have? Maybe we should get together and ride sometime.
