Default herd atv seeder

I am considering getting the herd brand atv seeder that straps onto the back rack and has an electric motor. Just wondering if anyone on here has one or any experience with one. I looked at one locally that is sold by northern. It is called a buyers choice atv seeder.I was very impressed with it.Looked to be very well built but it does not have an agitator inside the unit to keep the contents stirred up and flowing. The herd brand is the only one i can find that has an agitator in the bin. Thanks for any replies or comments.

I probably won't be much help, but I've got one of the earthway 12v atv seeders. It's the one that has the 85lb capacity plastic hopper. I got it to seed some bare spots where we had some dozer work done. It doesn't have an agitator either but feeds fescue (cheap and better than weeds) just fine.
For no more than I had to do I could probably have gotten by with a ground driven trailer seeder like goes behind a lawnmower for about half the money.
I don't know anything about the herd brand, if the other one is made by buyers I have found their atv snowplow to be very well built and useful for a whole lot of things other than snow. Take care, DK

Katbeanz, thanks for the reply,i appreciate it.Yes, the buyer's choice seeder looked like a good unit to me and i think it would be good for any of the common uses such as seeding and fertilizing etc.The reason i want a seeder with an agitator is because our part of the country is slowly being overtaken by fireants.I had a lot of problems cutting my hayfields this year because of them plugging up my hay cutter.I am going to try and thin them out with some fire ant bait.I am afraid some of the baits i might use would stick together and would need the agitator.Notice i said thin them out,not get rid of them because there is no getting rid of them, they are like a plague on the land.Folks that live in parts of the country that do not have these little critters count yourselves lucky. Again, thanks and have a good day!
