Why did remington quit making the short magnum in the model 700?
remington has a questionaire section where you can ask a question and in a few days they can tell you, i believe its on the last link on top of the home page and i think its either the 2nd or 3rd one down titled "help center" or something simaler.
that will help you. be patient, the people there take a while to get to your questions, make sure they understand it the first time, otherwise they'll ask what exactly are you asking?

Why did remington quit making the short magnum in the model 700?
it is only made in the model 700 titanium it is no longer made in anything else in the model 700 i dont think they even stopped production on the BDL but all the short mags are still made in the model seven

That makes sense- as the Model 7 is there short action rifle. I also think that the SA RUM is on the 700 platform. But I am not that familar with Remington. More of a Model 70 bolt guy....
