Default Help Passing The Time...

Here it is June 10 and I'm ready for bow season again! It doesn't come back in until October, so I'm going to have to find a way to cure "the fever" for three and a half months. I don't think hunting shows and shooting my bow in the backyard is going to do it.

if you have x-box, you can get the game "Dangerous Hunts" and you can put your skills to the test, the animals will attack you, you have everything from little deer, to the grizzly and polar bears, the cougars, elks, moose, rhino, cape buffalo, are all in there too, you can use rifles ranging from .270 all the way up to the .510 mag. and shotguns going from 12 gauge semi,10 gauge semi, 10 gauge gas loaded shot gun. and a cross bow, recurve bow, and a compound bow. plenty of stuff to mess around with too, can choose your inventory, and if you want to make it challenging, you can also be on a budget. if you don't have x-box, you can get hunting games for the computer, or ps2.

maybe you knew this all already, but, What the he!! i told you again!

Ours opens in September. Cant wait either. You can always squirrel hunt with your bow, makes for great practice. Just sit in a stand near a hickory tree and pick em off the ground. Use those blunt tips, or just field points.

Oh yeh and fishing helps me pass the time. Also planting food plots and clearing shooting lanes.

my brother caught a 20 inche large mouth bass that weighed in at 4 pounds about two weeks ago, and lately i've been seeing 18 inchers in the paper calling them "huge fish" but i guess they entered tournements, we took our bass to the taxidermist and will not get it back until late january of 2006, the guy is busy with deer, from last season, and fish from ice fishing, and just now recently turkeys from turkey season. so he has to get it all done before he starts on the random stuff.....

Thats not that big of a largemouth for around here. I guess the farther up north you get, the smaller they get. Hmmm, I have had success with taking a few pics of the fish, taking the measurments and then releasing the fish to be caught at another time. Then taking the pics and measurements to the local taxidermist. My brother out fished me the other day with one cast! He caught a 6 1/2 lbs bass that was 23" long. The local farm ponds around here hold some monster largemouth!

I hear you red goblin!! I am missing it big time right now... Been shooting and scouting.. But need to have the bow in my hand with a broadhead on the arrow!!! Saw a couple bucks this weekend walking my lab out on some land I hunt. The two were about 35-40 yards from me and feeding on some grass in a field. Never knew I was there until I whistled to my dog... never spooked either just watched me walk past...
