AZ desert, NW of phoenix- wandered on 3 skinned dogs, large, medium, small, all in a perfect line. No explanation- sacrifice?
S. of Grand Canyon- deer hunting, something following me, trying to get around bush to get a look...beautiful antelope just seeing what I was up to. No tag.
Mogollon Rim, AZ, North of Payson, out doing some night "sighting" for coyote when I was 18. 2 groups of 5- all of us tough footballers, started hearing steps, started of sounding 4 footed, then 2. Getting closer, some of us experienced hunters- clueless, could it be a game and fish officer? After midnight? We were all armed to the teeth... Lots of nervous whispers and crackly voices... Suddenly a loud and pretty scary noise- black bear raking a tree? elk rubbing off leather? Starting to get too close for comfort in pitch black night, no moon. Time to run back to camp. No clue what we had coming up on us. After a couple drinks and getting heart rate back, decided on a game of night ditch 'em. Hiding quietly...flipping bear growls about 50 yards or so behind us. That's enough for one one night.
Bear runs by 2 buddies while playing midnight ditch 'em on another hunting trip in AZ White Mts. near Big Lake- which is really small. More running scared.
S. Phx deserts, looking for rumored Satanists on Hallowe'en night. Find dead cow and lone truck with cab-over camper in middle of a clearing, moon is bright, who knows what or who is in it. Decide too freaky and run, get lost for about 10 minutes. I hate Hallowe'en.
Seemed about 9 out of 10 times we went out to the mountains or deserts from the time I was about 6 or so, something wierd or scary happened. Good times!

Me and my friends were talkin' about doing something stupid this summer. So we thought we'd get one of those gorilla costumes and dress up one guy in it and have the rest of us walk through the woods and "come upon him" with the video camera. LOL Then we thought we might do one while we were driving in the car or something and have another where we were hunting him. I don't know why I told you this??? LOL Sounded good to us though!!
