Hey,
I picked up my Taurus in the mail today. A little different than I expected. The note said that the problem was in the slide, and it was adjusted. That was the last place I expected. I have to admit I was skeptical, but then I noticed that the mag was loading in a different place (higher than before), and the round, even nosed down, now hits in the middle of the ramp. Maybe the slide was keeping the mag from fully seating high enough? We'll see with test firing. Also, I went ahead and gently adjusted the mag lips 1mm or so, and the rounds are not nosing down like they were. I can't get it to jam on purpose now; I'll let you know the results of firing.

hmm is right. I fired 150 rounds. Results: Winchester hollow points = flawless, even with 12 rounds / Full metal jacket = same old problems. It seemed a little smoother, and the hollow points never jammed, but I'm not convinced the Taurus gunsmith really did much. I believe this is a design issue with the magazine. Period. Well, I usually only keep 8 rounds of hollow point in the mag for defense, so I'm just going to be satisfied with it as is. Time for me to move on.
