Just got back from 6 days in the Grand Canyon forest (Kaibab). Happy to report that all deer and turkey are safe for another year. Did get shots at both deer and turkey, but wiffed on them. Missed the deer at 35 yards and the turkey at 40. Sad, sad, sad, but got the late season coming up soon...

Good luck to you's on your quest...bow huntin is about as pure as it gets.

Today is the last day of the bowhunt here in Utah. I too, must say that the deer are safe for another year. None big enough to flip some sticks at.

Opening day is tomorrow and I'm not going to get any sleep tonight. Can't wait for that BIG buck to walk under my stand.

What's stupid about our bow season is that it opens at about the same time squirrel season does. That just doesn't make much sense.
