Default Wood burning furnace question

I've got a dual fuel (propane) furnace I'm looking to get rid of but it's an indoor type. Longwood is the mfg. if anyone is interested. The box on this sucker is about 52" deep. Could hid a small body in there, or a large one if you cut it up right.

Default Wood burning furnace question

Ihave an aqua-therm outdoor boiler, and really like it, I heat my house and shop with the same unit, and it has to be below -20 before it can't keep up. It can be a little hungry when its that cold, but so would my gas funace. Question, why would you retro fit a corn burner unless you were only going to burn corn? Throw the corn in with the wood, I even throw in buckets full of walnuts, they make great firestarters, and the squirells will shuck them for you . If you have a good supply of red elm, consider yourself lucky, other than its a little tough to split, you can't hardly beat it, because if you go 100% wood heat, it will take a decent pile to go all year.

Thanks for all the replies. We have had a very mild winter and at this point I think I will get something set up over the summer for next winter. Most of the units see to run 4-7K, installation seems to be mostly straightforward.
Thanks again!
