Any Bowhunters in here?

I just started bowhunting 2 years ago and love it. I just got a new bowtech tomcat for the early bow season. Didn't even see a deer in the first season, pissed me royaly. In rifle, I passed up a 6 point the last day, in the high hopes of getting him with the bow in late archery. (I should have pulled the trigger).

Hey fellow bow hunters. I`ve been bowhunting for about 9 years now and absolutely LOVE it. I`m a full time Firefighter/Medic and work 24 on then 48 off with a 5 day in a row off every 21 days. Makes it great to have so much time to be in the woods. I noticed you stated that you did not see a deer the first season. We you able to be in the woods much? It`s funny, I`ve been out and at times counted upwards of 30 deer in an evening then might go a night or two and only see one or two (or none). Just goes to show practice and patience are important but a little luck doesn`t hurt either.

97K.Q.300...How do you like the Tomkat? I just put a '06 on layaway. It shot very nice plus the package deal was too good to pass up. My son and I will both be bowhunting this summer. Can't wait. ATV's and bowhunting belong together! I.M.O.

Yea, I was in the wood alot. But you gotta understand, this is PA and yea, there are plenty of deer up north of us, but around where I live in Central PA, your lucky to see them at the feeders. Very big problems going on with the Game Commission.
I love the Tomcat, Pastor. As you said, it's a very good bow. I love the size, speed and balance. And for the package price you get it for - I couldn't pass it up. A little tip though, if you got a fall-away rest as part of your package, expect to buy a higher quality one. Bowtech could have used their heads a little better and put a more sturdy rest on. Other than the rest, I would highly recommend one to anyone.

Yes, bowhunting is fun. However, I know this will get preached to you a lot throughout your experience with it, but take it to heart; take the time to get good at what you do before you go out there. My friend wounded approximately 7 deer last season and it got to the point where I was getting mad at him. There's no need for that. Take the time to make a good shot that you KNOW where it's going.

Archery, my ture passion. Hoyt Pro-Tech cam&1/2 with Trophy Ridge Guide Series Matrix sight, TR Quiver, NAP fall away, and all the Simms you can put on a bow. It shoots at 312 fps and I love it. I shoot all year round. I was lloking into getting a new release yesterday. Anybody know anything about Carter releases?
Also just another toy but I don't realy consider it true archery. I have a Ten Point QX-4 crossbow that I took two deer and a fow last year with. It is fun to play with but you don't need as much shooting time to be good with it.
Thanks
