Default Permission to ride

With that logic I should be able to rip around on the fairway of our local golfcourse no problem right?

Default Permission to ride

This MotoF150 guy must be from some other planet. If you come to Texas and start riding on someone's property without permission, you will get shot. And if there is a trial, the owner will probably not be convicted, except for maybe depriving the police of some target practice.

It's mind boggling that anyone could possibly think it would be OK for them to enter someone else's property without permission. This is what is wrong with America - people think they have a right to getting something for nothing.

If the land is posted the offender can be prosecuted more severely, but even if it is not posted the trespasser has still broken the law. If it ain't yours, leave it alone.

No one with an attitude like Moto's should be allowed out in public without adult supervision. Get a life.

That's ain't no lie. I guess you can do that in Penn, but not down here.

I have seen land owners run off Game Wardens and Police Officers off there ranches. Law or no Law. Several ranches shut down county roads that went through there land. They sure wouldn't have a problem running a guy on an atv off.

You may be mistaken by the law. There is a "free range law" that is in texas that says I can walk across any ones property that I want, but definatly not drive an atv. All that land owner has to do is show that you messed up something on his property and they will get you.

If you own the land im on all I ask is be a man and tell me you own it and I will tell you im sorry and leave, no problem, but I do have a problem when you threaten me without me knowing I did anything wrong, if its your land or not it doesn't give you the right to threaten to hurt or kill me. State owned trails for ATV's to ride are a joke, the State has **** Police that harrass everybody, the trails are straight and level, they don't offer any rough trails that are tough to ride, its a joke like your riding on a merry-go-round and everybody must go slow, stay on the smooth trail, don't stop to take a leak or the rent-a-cop **** police may get mad, ohhhh nooo, im scared, please don't yell at me , im sooo scared fat, overweight rent-a-cop, your so tough, and im sooo scared of your authority.
Your point has no credence. You know it's not your property. Should I assume that nobody owns your quad if it's in stock condition? I can take it and beat the bag out of it until you prove to me that you own it? No, that's BS. And it states where you're not tresspassing unless it's properly posted, such as mine, if you are asked to leave-you leave they don't have to prove they own it. You can look it up to be sure they do, and if they don't then you can get written permission from the real owner.

PS My state has the same rules, but if you're on private property to ride an atv then you have to get written permission beforehand. And an atv trail has to be specifically marked as an atv trail to ride it. It didn't used to be like this, but dumbsh!ts abusing private property ruined all this.

allow me to make this simple,,, just be a man,,!!!!! all you have to do is tell the person thats on your land that you own it and you want him to leave. Its that simple! Don't be a mammas boy and go crying to the Police without you telling the offender to leave.

Why are you on someone else's land without permission to begin with?

Being a man, or woman, is calling the police to take care of people who trespass. That's their job. With your comments and attitude, you should consider yourself fortunate you're dealing with police and not country people far enough away from any law enforcement that have to handle such matters themselves. You wouldn't be making the statements you do or going back for a second helping.

That's another thing. There have been many of road hunters and poachers go missing on some of these ranches down here. Alot of them still take the law into their own hands. The King Ranch, for example, is well known for that.

OK, Moto, tell you what, you weasely trespasser -

Come to Mason County, Texas, and ride your rig on my place. I'll be shooting for the gas tank, so you might want to wear a parachute.

And some body armor. I might miss.

You all realize this isn't gonna get any better, in fact I figure it's gonna get a whole lot worse.

First of all the Forest Service and other Gov't lands are being shut down. Like in WA state for example I cannot ride my quad legally anywhere on Forest Service land. How did they do this? Simple, by making it only legal to drive on Forest Service land with a DOT Highway legal vehicle. Give me a freaking break!

Do I follow the law? HELL NO

So now I am a law breaker and I'm comfortable with that. I could see where the next logical step would be to ride wherever one damm well pleases, who cares right? breaking the law is breaking the law never mind who's property your breaking the law on and in what manner your doing so right?

Well I don't condone trespassing or riding w/o permission on private land. But I do break the law on forest service land.

so my point is, can you see where shutting down public lands only contributes to more problems?
