Where I live there are areas where people have rode ATV's and dirt bikes for 20 years, then one guy comes out and claims he owns this land, I say " Prove IT"! Show me a photocopy of the deed, show me one no trasspassing sign with your name on it. I claim my right to ride on this land cause people have been riding on it for 20 years, I have rights too even if you own the land or not, you own the land its your job to keep the people off of it. Some of you land owners have too much money to spend anyhow, its not fair just because you have the big money that you can afford to buy land.

Permission to ride
Moto, there is so much wrong with your twisted thinking I don't even know where to start.
How about here:
"If I pay over $5000 for an ATV, im going to ride it!"
Just because you spent money on an ATV does not give you a God given right to a place to ride it. For some reason you seem to think it does. It would be smart to make sure there is a place to ride before you spend the money. Regardless, it doesn't matter how much you spend on the ATV.
Buying land, however, gives you the right to do what you want with it. If you don't want anyone riding on it, that's your business.
"Im lucky Pennsylvania has gun laws, and its not like Texas or Florida where anybody even with an IQ of 50 can own a gun, and I wasn't talking about guns, I was talking about where to ride my ATV, its yunzs guys that started talking about guns. Texas has gun laws, and plenty of them. An IQ test is not a requirement for owning a gun anywhere. But speaking of IQ's, you could probably move from Pennsylvania to Arkansas and thereby raise the average IQ of both states.
Threatening someone with a gun has nothing to do with manhood. But since you brought that up, it is not a threat. Just a statement of fact. Of course, if you want fists, that can be arranged too. But then, someone who would ride on someone else's land without permission is probably dimwitted enough to bring nothing but his fists to a gunfight.
"Where I live there are areas where people have rode ATV's and dirt bikes for 20 years, then one guy comes out and claims he owns this land, I say " Prove IT"! Just because you have ridden on a place for 20 years does not give you the right to keep riding there. If someone buys it and decides to keep people off, that's their right. And it is not his job to prove he owns it. It is your responsibility to get permission. You keep claiming rights that are not there.
Gun ownership, for example, is a right guaranteed by the constitution. Driving an automobile is a priviledge granted by the state you live in. Riding an ATV is a priviledge granted by the state. Riding on private property is a priviledge granted by the landowner. If you have not been granted the priviledge, YOU DON'T HAVE IT. Whether you had it before, or under different ownership, doesn't matter. You need to learn the laws.
"I have rights too even if you own the land or not, you own the land its your job to keep the people off of it. Some of you land owners have too much money to spend anyhow, its not fair just because you have the big money that you can afford to buy land."
You have rights, but only on your own property. Riding on state owned land is a priviledge that can be taken away. And it is not the landowner's job to run people off his land, it is his right. And it is the law's job to help him by upholding the law.
You speak of fairness. Life doesn't have to be fair, to you or anyone else. But if you want people to be fair with you, you have to be fair with them. It is not fair to landowners to ride on private property without getting permission first. You're treating someone like crap if you ride without asking first.
Money has nothing to do with it, but you also seem to think landowners are rich. Some may be, but being rich is not a prerequisite to owning land. People spend years paying for land, and often do it by doing without luxuries.
Even so, if someone is rich that's their business. They don't owe you something just because they have money and you don't. You want to be rich, work at it. No one has to give you anything. It would certainly not be fair for you to get to ride on someone's place just because they have more than you. Quit being a crybaby and start taking responsibility for your own actions.
This is the kind of attitude that is ruining the country. You sound like a communist. You want stuff you don't deserve, haven't worked for, and don't have coming. No one has to let you ride on their land just because you own an ATV, and they don't have to give you a reason. All they have to do is say no. You might not like it, but that doesn't matter either.
The world is not here to please you. There are no free lunches, and there are no free riding places. Someone has to pay for everything. You are the type who wants someone else to pay, but you want to get the benefits without earning them. Grow up, get a life, pay your own way, work for what you want, and we will all be better off. Including you. Especially you.
With your attitude, we should all be allowed to walk into a restaurant and eat what's there without asking or paying. After all, the food is there. It doesn't have anyone's name on it. Someone should have to show you a deed to the food to prove it's theirs. Even then you would expect them to just give it to you. Maybe you've been eating there for a long time, so you should be allowed to continue to eat there.
If everyone had your attitude no one would work, but expect to be taken care of by the state. You have a welfare outlook on life. You are a taker, a parasite who lives off the world's workers. You hold out your hand and expect someone to put something in it. And if they don't you whine and complain that life isn't fair, and others have more, so they should share with you.
Everyone looks at life the way you do for a while, but most of us grow out of by about age 3.
What I'm wondering is who wipes your butt when you take a crap.

Permission to ride
Its just our rights are being taken away more and more, the rich have more rights than the poor, thats not fair, most people that are rich have not become rich on their own merit, or their intelligence, or by working hard, they just got lucky, won lifes lottery, maybe they have a good paying job, that good paying job don't take any special skill, anybody could do it. I make $8.10 an hour, so when I spend $5000 for an ATV thats a lot of money for me, and it hurts when I can't ride it after spending that much. Before the rich spend big money for property they should know that people have been using that property for a long time riding dirt bikes and ATV's and sometimes I think the only reason they do buy that property is so they can stop everybody from riding there. If its a wooded area, that the land owner has no plans to do anything with it doesn't do any harm to the land by riding on it, the land owner don't live there, so I can't understand why he don't want anybody on his land, the only reason I can think why is because he's mean and evil.

$8.10 an hour? Quit your whining, go to college, and learn a trade. You can get a 2 year degree at a jr. college that will bring in at least double that, you could probably even take night classes and keep your currrent job. Be a man, get a degree, a job, and stop trolling this board.

Permission to ride
Im just upset cause it seems like everyday somebody or someone is taking away areas to ride, the state has a new area they were going to open up for ATV's its called Rock Run, but its on hold cause people that wanta run unicycles, and ride horses, or mountain hikers want the land too, now they wanta install windmills on this land, and they have to do a study to find out if we can all co-exist on the same land, what pisses me off is before the state took it over for an atv trail everybody and everyone was riding atv's on that land, now the state is selling off part of the land to private owners, for years and years everybody was riding on this land and nobody cared, now after the state came in with $2 millon to make this a state run atv riding area we are not allowed to ride on it anymore. Its just if you own an ATV ur marked as a scumbag, if I owned land near there I would open a resturuant and make money from the tons of people that travel to that area, us ATV owners spend money for gas, food, supplies and so on. Now I will spend my money on towns and areas of the state that are friendly to ATV Owners, you land owners can keep your land and your land will never make you any money and you can have fun paying taxes on it, I don't care.

Well since I dont have an ATV I want to ride your ATV in fact I want to use it anytime I want withouit permission of course your oK with that right? Same with your car I dont own one and Im using yours from now on. Share, share.. Now do you get what private property rights are about? Why shoud I work hard for anything, I can just come to your house cause you will share it with me, similar to sharing others people land.
Btw, I am a young 27year old landowner with wife and kids. Went to college at night and still do, paid for by myself. I work 40-64 hours a week and school is #1 priority till I finsish my Masters. Not everyone gets a silverspoon in their mouth and ends up owning land.
I wanted an ATV but i had no place to ride it. So I bought some land instead of an atv, Now I have an atv and a place to ride. It took a few years though.. If you want a guaranteed place to ride buy some land first instead of gratifying your everyneed at once like buying a quad first and a new car or truck...
If I were you I would think twice about making fun of people who think are "rent a cops" they have the same arrest powers as police. Of course your not man enough to tell them your rude remarks their face..
