Alot of people use slugs for hog hunting. You have to be fairly close though.

Its nice to see some fellow dog runners out there. My first choice of weapon for hogs is a knife followed by my 30-30. Keep'em on the ground!

 

We just catch 'em. .45 on my hip just to keep my nerve up.
