Does anyone know if the absorber bushing should move freely on the recoil spring.....I took the pistol apart to try to figure out what was moving around in there and it is the absorber bushing sliding up and down the recoil spring.....Does anybody know if this is normal or do I have something not right in there?????

It should move freely. Are you having problems with the weapon or just noticed that while cleaning it?

 

Not having any problems.......Just don't like the sound of the bushing moving around freely....Thanks.

It should not "rattle" from what I know. How long have you owned this gun? If its a new purchase take the weapon back to your gun shop and if its possible compair to a new one they have on display. Are you sure that its the bushing making the rattle noise you described?

 

I asked a local gunsmith and he said it's normal.....I'm gonna get a second opinion......I've owned the piece for about 6 yrs. now.....Just not sure if it always made that noise......It's not like I use it everyday so it's hard to remember if it's done it in the past....
