Default Swisher Dump Bucket

I have a Honda Foreman and a few acres of land. The Swisher dump bucket sure looks like it would help me out a lot. I looked into to this product some on the web and it's going to cost a chunk of money. About $350 for a winch, $325 for the bucket and $135 for the mount.

I've read some reviews and it looks like most people are happy with this bucket. Do any of you guys have comments about this product?

I have the bucket and blade for use with the Kawasaki P 360. The bucket is a handy tool but it is not capable of dumping into a pickup or even a low trailer without the use of a ramp. The bucket is useful when hauling bark dust and such but filling it full of rock will put a strain on the front of the quad and squash the tires down. I usually pump the tires to around 8 or 10 PSI when hauling heavier loads. While well built and engineered the bucket will not dig into hard ground because of the limited weight and power of the quad.

I have found the Swisher system to be very useful and the company to be responsive when called for assistance.

I have been thinking of purchasing these same implements to use on my Yamaha Rhino 660. I would suspect that you won't notice the load on the front of the Rhino as much as you would on a conventional ATV.

Can't really comment on the weight capacity of the Rhino as I have no experience with them. I would think, however, that the suspension would be tuned for two riders which should give it a bit more capacity. I would wonder about the maneuverability of the bigger machine and the width as well. Be interesting to hear how it works out.

Keep one thing in mind - putting the swisher mount system on kills your GC. Reduces it to a couple of inches.

I have the blade - very nice as it's made of fairly heavy metal. Great for pushing gravel or loose dirt around, but it's nothing like a scraper blade on a tractor, won't cut into hardpack, just rides over it.

Thinking about the front mount 50" mower. Be nice to get under bushes, etc... pricey little fellow, though.

I'm also looking at the dump bucket for my Can Am Outlander Max XT (800) and I was wondering if people have any comment on the setup that I would need in order to make it work. Looking at my machine, I notice that my winch is lower than my buddy's Polaris and I'm wondering if that will make a difference. Also can you use any other mount system that doesn't take up the rear hitch. I currently have a 2" ball in there and I'd prefer not to constantly take it off to attach this swisher mount kit.

Any one with any experience with the Swisher systems on the Can Am's? Thanks!
