Headin' North !!

Well, looks like I will be moving on up to God's country in the next month or so, got a great job offer in Duluth at the big paper mill as an Automation Tech, they even pay 4,000 towards moving !!. Just have to wait for the results of the pee pee test ( I studied all night for that one). The biggest thing will be selling the hobby farm and finding a new place outside of Duluth, I want to live on a few acres, with outbuildings for the toys, and room for the dogs to run, anyone on the forums living around the Duluth area have any advice on good areas to live, places to avoid, good riding areas close by, hunting areas ( I bowhunt a lot). As soon as I get settled in, I'll have to take a ride with some of the local riders and get to know the area. Thanks for any advice in advance !!!

On the WI side of Duluth/Superior the Tri county corridor starts that leads to miles of trails. Iron river heads north, goes all the way to Ashland, think it connects with the Wild Rivers Trail. Basicly you can hit most of the northern WI trails from there. (BUT you will need a WI trail pass)

WI and here I thought you were coming up to the Last Frontier to ride the Wild Side. No trail pass needed here and plenty of places to ride and most of those let you klnow just where we humans are located at on the food chain. (and its not always at the top!)

I'm living in duluth. Not a lot of areas around here, unless you load up and head north a bit(or even south twords moose lake and get on the Soo Trail). If anyone knows of any areas that are legal to ride, let me know. I've been up to Lost Lake road off Munger and highway 53, but i've heard it's closed to wheelers now(grant-in-aid signs up now with snowmobile only signs).

I live south of superior and there are all sorts of trails around here. I did 65 miles from my driveway the other day. No need to trailer around here. I can get to iron river all the way down to trego, just on the trails. There is a ton of riding to do up here.
I'm not sure what there is in MN as I have no need to ride over there. If you have any questions about the trails in the middle to southern douglas county, IM me.

Well, thanks to this WONDERFULL economy, and flat housing market, I still have not sold my house, so for the last several months, I have been driving back home ( almost 200 miles) every weekend to see my dogs, try to see the kid ( he's 18, and has little time for the "old man"), and check on the house and mail. This is getting a bit frustrating, living up here in Duluth, but not being able to enjoy much of what it has to offer, if I'm not working, I'm driving back and forth down south.
SOMEBODY BUY MY HOUSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( Thank you, you greedy barstards on Wall Street for ruining the economy and you filthy house flippers for sinking the housing market).

Next time you see him thank Barney Frank from Massachusetts too, for helping the Federal Loan institutes to fail. I hope you can sell your house soon. Moving to Minn. sounds pretty good to me too. I'd settle for NH or ME someday too. Love Northern New England. I liked Minnesota when I've been there. Lots of ponds (not lakes by my standard) and a lot of beautiful Northern lakes for fishing. Man, I want to go too.
