just tilled my 1/2ac garden with tufline atv disk and 08 sportsman 800

The field was heavily overgrown (albeit dead at this end of the year) and quite compact (dump truck barely sank 1/2" into it) ... took 2 1/2hrs (and a 1/2 tank of gas) to do 5 passes and some over the field to turn the grass into the soil and get it ready. Now all I need is a harrow to pull the hay off and smooth it out for use. Will get pics soon.
The next project is my 6ac plot, at least the ground isn't nearly as hard.

Sportsman ATVD Series Disc - Monroe Tufline
thats what I got from farm fleet (page 86 in their catalog) at weagants in brockville ontario ... shipped to their shop and taxes for under $1300cad
all I did was keep slow (put it in low at 2700rpm around 5km/h) and did multiple passes ... didnt need to add any weight to it or anything fancy ... but it did take 5 passes to get it nice ... i found in high id have to go too fast to keep the clutch from being pissed off

fyi do not try to pull anything in high unless you want to mess up your tranny. Go with low unless your going over 15mph, and then if your going to go in high with a big load over that speed know that if its close to your quads limit your belt is going to suffer.

ya no kidding, we're doing brush clearing and using the atv to pull the trailer full of prickly ash ... all said probably 1000lbs or so and low is the way to go
the tiller is only 350lbs and whatever resistance of the soil ... difference between 5-10km/h is about 800rpm
