plows.....moose vs. cycle country
#1
after reading/listening to alot of people and posts, i decided to go with moose. sounded like people had better luck. just made a visit to my local atv dealer and asked him which he preferred and he said without a doubt it was cycle country, said he carried moose up until 3 years ago and had to quit, just wasn't happy. now i'm real confused.what to do. i guess i'm looking for some fresh input and past experience on these items. also, do you have any experience with the manual lifts. the dealer said his 12 year old daughter could work the manual lift. i figured a person would regret not using either a dedicated lift to the plow or using your winch. thanks......

just picked up my new grizz yesterday with the warn winch and moose plow setup. Obviously haven't had a chance to use it, but after research i have gotten a variety of preferences. They both work well, but I feel it comes down to only color. I liked the yellow, so i bought the moose. Seems to me people talk great about both. BUt YOU HAVE TO GO FOR WINCH operated. so easy and convenient.

I have a Cycle Country Plow on my Ruby. I'ev used it one season and have had little problems. I have the electric lift from Cycle Country. The pulley that comes with the lift is a bad design its plastic and breaks easy when the cable jumps off the pully. I made a new pulley at work out of steel that has a guard on it so the cable can't jump off the pulley. The other thing that I did to make it a little better was make new skid pads. The ones that come with the plow are to small I think, they don't hold the plow up in soft conditions. Other then that its been great. My next mod for it is an electric screw for a power angle.

I love my 60" moose, looks like it belongs on a truck instead of an ATV. I used it this summer to level grade & backfill a ditch with very hard clay. Only problem was not enough weight while plowing dirt. Couldn't be happier with the way it plows snow. I thought the Moose looked tougher than the cycle country.
