Hog Hunting Down South
#1
I'm interested in anyone that has the opportunity to go hog hunting down south. I'm told that these are feral hogs that can be hunted year round.
We have some russian boar here in New Hampshire that have escaped from a huge local preserve. I've only gone a couple of times and have yet to get one. A retired game warden friend of mine has gotten five.

There are quite a few feral hogs around here...they just started to move in our land so we have set traps out for them....yes they are huntable year around since they are not a native species...in a way i am glad they are here so i will have more game to hunt and also can hunt them year around..but they do a lot of damage to the land when they root so we are just killing everyone of em we see

The law in Arkansas is the same as in Texas. They are considered nusciances here. There are alot of public land in South arkansas that you can hunt the hogs on.Baiting or dogs is the best method. Hopefully, someone will reply to you that does this alot. Also check with the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission.
