A Browning A-bolt in short action(.308) with a Leopold compact scope. the gun itself only ways 61/4 lbs. great all around field gun. With Browning 40 degree bolt makes for anice and easy quick shot if it presents itself.

Smallbore target shooting:

Anschutz 1813 w/2" 15x Unertl scope. Shoots .2" patterns at 50 yards using ATV rack for a rest.
Winchester 52D, for silhouette. Lighter than the Anschutz, terrific balance, handsome rifle.

Long range target:

Springfield NM M1A, finest military rifle made, IMHO

Black powder target:

Whitworth (Euroarms repro), well balanced, extremely accurate, but a pain to load that 2nd shot.

Pistol:

Desert Eagle Mk1, .357 Recoils like a 9mm, quite accurate.
Ruger Mk2, 5" bull barrel. More accurate than my .22 Diamondback, a real pleasure.
Smith 629, 8 3/8" barrel. Big ol' hogleg, accurate if you can take the blast.

And for just having the neatest sound when it goes off:

Weatherby Vanguard, .300 WBY Magnum. Sounds more like thunder than a rifle. Hold it tight, and it'll rock you pretty good. Hold it loose, and it'll kick the bejeezus out of you.
