I've gotta disagree with you there, sir. In the past, the NRA has been a bunch of spineless cowards willing to sacrifice some of their liberty in the "best interests of safety." They probably won't admit to it, but it was the NRA that proposed the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994. They figgered that if the Bush administration "needed" to ban somethin, that it'd be best for them to ban a class of firearms that "law-abiding sportsmen don't need." They figgered it's ok to ban "assault weapons" since everbody knows that they don't have "any sporting purpose," just as long as they don't ban their cherished Browning Citori's.

Let's not forget that firearms make Charlton Heston, NRA president, nervous. Why don't we all put our hard earned money into this country's only NO COMPROMISE gun lobby organization Gun Owners of America
