Default Micotil Warning

Just a heads up, for anyone who uses Micotil when treating sick calves.
The vetreranary showed me a copy of a news story about Micotil. There have been a few cases, where a person had been jabbed by the needle, and gotten sick from it. One fellow, who was trying to give a calf a shot got his hand kicked, and wound up giving himself a shot. He swore not over 1/2 cc got into his system, but within a couple days, he was dead from it.

Heads up, be VERY careful with the stuff!!!!

This may not be ATV related, but I feel it is Farm related, and can be a matter of life or death.

I've alway's know Micotil was dangerous if injected in humans but I thought it would take more of a dose. You've got to be careful with all cattle vacines though. I got suck with a syringe full of
Blackleg vaccine once. I didn't think I really had any injected but my knee about double in size for about a week.

I've heard that before about Micotil being being very bad for people. You would think that since you can give a couple cc's to calves that it wouldn't do anything to a person. It's probly good to know what drugs are harmful because I know of a few people that take animal drugs for themselves (banamine).
