need help with a 1996 explorer 4ooL, That has not been run for a year, want to change oil and filters, but have no books on this thing, was part of a divorce and everything was eliminated by my Father when he gave it to us!!!! Any help would be great, owners manual? what ever! I cant even find oil dipstick or filter!!!!!!!

ok with a 2stroke there is no oil in the crankcase that can be drained or a filter to be changed, the oil is added to the gas before you pour it into the tank, or perhaps an oil injector, i believe it probably has a belt clutch too so there should be no oil in the transmission too.

 

Hey thx, after removing the side panels I had set on the front rack, I noticed an oil cap and tank/res, then a big bell rang! felt foolish for looking so long for filter!!!!
