Looking for a good ATV doesn't have to be the best of the best. But not looking for crap either lol. Are budget is roughly 6k a quad.

This is what we found..

Polaris Sportsman500
Suzuki Kingquad 400fsi
Honda Rancher 4x4
Kawasaki Prairie 360 4x4

Thoughts and suggestions welcomed please lol Oh if it matters where both 6'2 220lbs so want somthing that can haul some big ***.

I'd suggest test driving some nice used quads to get the big bore performance and still hit your budget. Recommend Yamaha Grizzly 700, Polaris Xp850, or Suzuki King Quad 750. You're gonna get bored with those smaller machines quickly. Hell, I'd like to find a way to get more HP from my 750

Welcome. From your list the Polaris 500 is about the most comfortable riding and fits people with some heft nicely.

for trails and work around the yard pulling trees down I would go with the sportsman the scramblers are nice but more of a sport quad than the sportsman I have a new sportsman 500 I keep up with a Honda 700 on the trails and have a nice comfortable ride compaired to the sportier models. I have pulled 800 can ams out of mud and rode through them in 2 wheel drive I have towed other 700s back to camp that they got stuck and couldnt get running again(water in air filter) I have floated mine across water (gas was low and tires are inflated to 13-15 pounds) got out pulled the drain plugs let sit idleing a couple minutes and away I went) I personally at this point swear by my 500 55-58 MPH is plenty fast for me

gotta agree with irinman2424. I have a 2002 Sportsman 400 and love it. Plenty of power, great ride, tough machine. Trail riding is no problem, farm work is a breeze, plowing is fun. BUT it will depend on what you actually want to use the quad for as to what you buy. Trail riding + work = sportsman. Just trails = what feels comfortable to you

Can't go wrong with a Honda... That said try them all out on test rides.
