Cali LT230S

Hey all-
Got a 1985 Suzuki LT230S as a gift and boy it needs the works.
Glad to have found this site through the 230S vault.
Gotta love google!
I've got a laundry list of things to fix on the quad, but first is to get it running right.
Supposedly there's a crack in the head which makes it not idle at all.
I've gotten it running (up on stands) and sure enough, it won't idle.
I see 230 heads on eBay for about a hundred, so if it comes to that there's a source of them.
Well, this is the hello thread, so I'll leave the rest of the tech talk for another one-

You can find many of the parts you need for your ATV at HyperParts here - 1985 Suzuki LT-230S. Hope this helps. Good luck with your repairs!

Jeez, been a long time since I've been here!
I still haven't gotten that quad running, even after collecting all kinds of parts and doing a near full on restoration. I even picked up a junker for spares. Now it and all the stuff is stuck in storage in California and I'm up in Washington since a couple years.
Anyways, I found an '86 up here for not too much a week ago and couldn't resist it. The seller said the motor smokes, but it damn near pumps oil out the exhaust!
Sure wish I could drag some of the spare parts up. That will have to wait. Meanwhile I'll fill it with 50 weight oil and enjoy the fact that it runs. LOL
Gotta get a side cover for it. It's glued up with JB Weld for now. A few other parts are missing - headlight, seat release pull, parking brake cable - nothing that keeps it from running tho.
