Greetings All,
I have perused the site periodically over the last year or so and decided to join the community. Even as an anonymous web surfer, I have found many member discussions and tips to be invaluable both in working on my ATV and in forming visions of my dream setup. I am impressed with the openness and inviting atmosphere of ATVConnection.com and am happy that I finally joined.
I began riding in my younger years on a friend's Honda Fourtrax 125 at his farm. I loved that Honda and we spent countless hours doing tricks, chores, hauling deer, etc...And it was back then, 15 or so years ago, that I knew my first ATV would be a Honda. I just loved that Fourtrax.
Several other bikes were fun through the years (though still not my own) including a Yamaha Moto-4 and an older shaft drive Yamaha 3 wheeler. It was mid-year 2010 that I decided to pull the trigger and pay cash (just couldn't get myself to finance something new) for a beautiful 1996 Honda Fourtrax 200D Type II. Although my intended use was for a utility quad and for hunting and snow riding, I just thought that little Fourtrax was an awesome little machine. Though I do wish I'd have gotten a shaft drive, the 200 has served me fairly well.
My next upgrade, contingent on funds, will likely be either a 1990's Fourtrax 300 or an older Foreman. I don't know what it is about Honda's - I just love them. I also like the Yamaha Kodiak 400.
I look forward to contributing where I can and meeting other enthusiasts. Thank you and have a great Fall 2011!
