Hi from Roanoke VA
Howdy all.
I'm a new guy to ATV's realatively. I rode dirt bikes, quads and ATC's as a kid. Now after 25 years getting back into it with the family. I was in the Rockcrawlers (offroad rock buggies) I pretty much have a fab shop in my garage. My family stopped coming with me so I liquidated my rig, tow rig and trailer for a family friendly set up. I have a '93 suburban now, 18' trailer.
A 85 KL600 Dirt bike (my toy)
2003 Rancher 350 ES for my 13 year old
2002 Rancher 350 ES for my wife
picking up a 1999 Yamaha Breeze for my 10 year old.
One of the ranchers (03) is great. 3600 miles. I just changed the oil and filter and beat the crap out of it for 2 days in Harlan Kentucy.
The '02 was a basket case. I got it as a rolling chassis and the parts in 6 rubbermaid containers. we determined 1 of 3 things happened to this. 1) It rolled down a cliff. 2)It fell out of the back of a truck going down the highway. 3) It was in a an Asian mudslide. We're going with mudslide adn the rear diff was full of mud (it must ahve been run that way for a while so we had to replace it.)
My buddy has been working on it tons and I come over when I can. Its now a runner with a .25 overbore. ITP Rims, holeshot fronts and big Bear rears. We call it the Rancher SQ (Sport Quad :dry We're going to go no racks as they were bent to crap. The bars too so we bought new ones. I'm going to put a rear, grab bar/wheelie bar/bumper on.
Right now we have it all working. Except the e shift. The "N" keeps flassing 3 times. So we're cleaning up the angle positioner thing to see if that helps. I can always swap the ecus's to see if that the problem as well.
My wife getting into it.
