Trails and ATV Rentals in NY/CT

Hello everyone,
totally inexperienced rider wants to take my 17 year old ATVing and wondering if anyone knew where I can go and rent an ATV and ride in CT or Dutchess, Westchester NY and the surrounding area. Thanks for your help

Unfortunately, NY laws aren't very favorable towards atv/rentals. There used to be a place near Tug Hill, but they gave it up at least 5 years ago, probably more. If you can swing it, Hatfield-McCoy trails in WV has places that rent and guide, plus awesome trails to boot. There is also a place in Silver Lake MI that rents utilities for the dunes I believe. That is a haul for you, but sand can be a great place to try out the sport.

nothing in ri or ct- mass is also anti atv. new hampshire & maine are great atv friendly states.

There is a place in CT called Backyard Adventures Tours. They do private guided tours on there own private trails using brand new Can Am Commanders. My family did the tour last week and it was amazing.
