1996 polaris grinding noises

Hi everyone! I'm brand new here so bare with me. I have a 1996 Polaris 500 sportsmen that is grinding in all gears. What is going on?? HELP!!!!!!_

1996 polaris sportsmen 500 4x4 making grinding noises

I just bought this wheeler and its grinding in fwd hi fwd low and reverse! Could someone please tell me what to look at first? I'm thinking its the rear end but not exactly sure. I need a professionals opinion or someone that knows a lot more than I do about it.

Thanks bioware! I'm happy to be here among the folks that know how to help me keep my wheelers running smooth and trouble free! Once I get my Polaris running smooth I may have to check with some of u all when I start that one to.
